The first book club gathering of the new year took place this evening in the fellowship hall with eleven on hand for the discussion of "Beyond the River: The Untold Story of the Heroes of the Underground Railroad" by Ann Hagedorn.
Following an engaging discussion of the book, the group enjoyed a delightful ice cream sundae, served up by Belinda Alkula.
The group meets each month on the second Sunday of the month at 6 pm (which will be October 11). Our next book is "Kind of Kin" by Rilla Askew.
