The book club had a good meeting tonight at the church. Hazel Smith facilitated our discussion. Consensus was very positive about My Beloved World, by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Our conversation evolved into a good discussion about mentoring, women's roles in the world, integrity, etc.
However, having not yet solved quite all the problems of the world, we have drawn up a list (always subject to change) for books for the 2015-2016 book club year:

December: The Testament of Mary by Colm Toibin (fiction, very short book - perfect for December)
