Our Lenten journey has begun

The community gathered this evening for an Ash Wednesday service which included the singing of Taizé music, the imposition of ashes, and the sharing of communion. 

Thanks to Hazel Smith for providing the accompaniment and to Belinda Alkula, Clay & Trudy Freeman, Linda Kauffman, and Judy Fraser for lending their voices in leading the singing tonight.

Thanks also goes out to Linda for preparing the communion elements and to Olivia Sherry for assisting in the serving of communion.
