An invitation

Recent events, including General Conference's direction to the Council of Bishops to develop "A Way Forward" through the appointment of a special committee to explore issues surrounding sexuality with plans to call a special General Conference in 2018, and the election in July by the Western Jurisdiction of an openly gay bishop have resulted in confusion and concern among many members of The United Methodist Church and in the Stevi UMC faith community. 

As in any family, there are varying points of view ... and many questions.
