Outreach Committee members prepare for the fall season
With the hint of autumn in the air, the faithful gathered at Stevi UMC this morning with enthusiasm!

Our adult church school began a six-week course from Adam Hamilton, Christianity and World Religions. Next week (9 am) we'll look at Hinduism.

Lending themselves to the community during worship this morning were: Paul Ludington (praise singing), Liz Goddard (piano), Mitch Edgar & Bob Edgar (summer music offering), Mary Costello, Gail Fisher, & Marilyn Murphy (ushers/greeters), and Bev Schneider (liturgist).

Mitch and Bob shared "Ghost Riders in the Sky," an unusual summer music offering that was appreciated by one and all! Pastor Charles returned to the lectionary readings in the sermon with Luke 14:25-33.

Following fellowship time, members of the Outreach Committee gathered to make plans for two events coming up this fall, the Stevensville Scarecrow Festival (October 7-8) and Trunk-or-Treat (October 31). Stay tuned for further details.
