The first Sunday in October begin on a cool note (weather-wise) and continued through a wonderful morning of learning, worship, and fellowship.

The adult class is working its way through the Christianity & World Religions study, looking this morning at Judaism. The study concludes next Sunday with a look at Christianity. The adults begin a new study, Christianity's Family Tree, on October 16th.

The children's ministry involved two programs this morning, the the Fruits of the Spirit lessons, led by Liz Goddard, is growing weekly as the excitement of the children and the adult leaders grows by leaps and bounds. Mitch Edgar, leading Scouts in the God & Family program, is meeting periodically in the other classroom.

Our worship was enriched with the choir's musical offering, "Our Savior's Calling." Pastor Charles brought the Word to us from Luke 17:5-10, the Parable of the Mustard Seed. Connie Rakeicki shared this morning's stewardship moment as part of the build-up to Commitment Sunday (Oct. 16). Dean Diers is serving this month as our liturgist.

Thanks to Belinda Alkula, Mary Costello, and Lisa Menery for serving as our hostesses for today's fellowship time, a sharing in the October birthdays.
