Saturday with the UMW

With a hint of a late winter snow in the air, seven came to the monthly gathering of the UMW's Saturday Morning Circle.
The Saturday Circle is engaged in the UMW's Four Areas of Focus: Criminalizing of Communities of Color, Economic Inequality, Climate Justice, and Maternal and Child Health.

*Criminalizing of Communities of Color: Petitions to Montana's congressional delegation were passed around regarding the UMC stance about gun-related violence as recorded in the Book of Resoultions.
*Climate Justice: A discussion regarding the Paris Agreement and the UMW response was held. The Earth Day observance at SUMC will be on April 22. Habitat for Humanity will be offering a presentation and the Outreach Committee will be serving as hosts of the Fifth Sunday Potluck after worship.
*Economic Inequality: The UMW will be encouraging the church to make use of sales to supply the Food Pantry with items.
*Maternal and Child Health: WIC is doing well with supplies for its clients.

Our next meeting will be on the third Saturday next month, April 21 @ 9:30 am.
