The journey of Advent

The first Sunday of Advent began with clear skies and very cold temps as the community gathered at Stevi UMC.  Both of the adult classes had lively discussions and the participants and leaders left feeling blessed!

Our worship began with Paul L. leading the praise singing, accompanied by Julie L.  Brenda B. introduced the children to the Nativity scene during worship and shared with them the desire we have to 'get ready' for the birth of Jesus.  Our music this morning included an offering by the chimes who shared a beautiful rendition of "The Old 100th."

Copies of the Advent/Christmas devotional, written by members and friends of Stevi UMC, were distributed to those present.  The devotional began this morning with an entry by Marcia P.  It will be available each here on the blog, on the website and on Facebook.
