Remembering Oscar Romero

On this date (March 24th) in 1980, in San Salvador, Archbishop Oscar Romero was assassinated as he raised the chalice in celebration of the Eucharist during Mass. He had just preached a sermon against the poverty, social injustice, assassinations and torture found in his country, thus becoming a target of those he spoke against.

Christians are still dying for their faith - are you living yours?
