Today in the life of SUMC

Today was a special day in the life of Stevi UMC as we gathered to worship God and to celebrate the beginning of a new relationship.  This morning Pastor Charles & Belinda began their time with the Stevensville UMC community.  It was wonderful to have this time together as a church family and to share the journey with one another!

Joys from this morning included:
+Improving health news
+The 67th anniversary of Ben & Bev Longbottem (and Bev's birthday)
+The 44th anniversary of  Fran & Fred Jackson
+Guests in worship today
+Successful climbing of St. Mary's Peak
+Return of a friend from service in Afghanistan
+The 40,000+ Scouts and leaders going off to the Jamboree in West Virginia (including the Mitch, Bob & Cammie Edgar).

Concerns from this morning included:
+The fire fighters who lost their lives in Arizona
+The hard-working local fire fighters who were stretched thin this past week.
+The family of Ester England
+Health concerns

Serving today were: Julie Ludington (accompanist); Paul Ludington (praise song leader); Trudy Freeman, Claire Kelly & Ed Sperry (greeters); Ben Longbottem (liturgist); and joey & Dean Diers, Linda Kauffman, and Claire Kelly (coordinating the potluck); thanks also to everyone who helped in the clean-up after the meal.

Special thanks to Clay Freeman and Hazel Smith for the gift of music.
