Prayers of the Church

JOYS

Birthday blessings to Phyllis D.

Wonderful family reunions.

Clay F. is the newly appointed chaplain for the local police and fire departments.

About the amazing United Methodist Women’s bazaar yesterday:  (1) Great support from the entire church family, (2) Able to donate some household goods to a family who lost their home in a fire last week and they are having to start over again, and (3) ALL money raised will go directly to missions’ work!

Town’s Super 1 grocery store is raising funds for the family dealing with the aftermath of a house fire – so grateful to have that business in our community which is willing to coordinate support to that family in need.

Visitors to church:  (1) Scott, (2) Becky and (3) Mickey.

Lynn and Gail M.’s granddaughter was born last Wednesday:  Roseanna Joy.

Successful health reports:  (1) Kendra, (2) Dave, (3) Kelsey and (4) a junior in our local high school.

Grandson got his first elk last week.

Ethan who just finished his Eagle Scout badge.  His special project was preserving the family heritage, i.e., orchestrating a lasting tribute to the “Buck Brother’s” influence in the community.

Local Clothes Closet is in need of plastic shopping bags; thanks to all who will donate them.

Great “Trunk R Treat” experience on October 31st, 5:00-7:30 p.m.!  Over 200 children participated!  (1) Thanks to Bill and Carol G. for providing an amazingly decorated hospitality tent, complete with hot dogs, chili and other goodies!  (2) Thanks to all the great folks who decorated their trucks and welcomed the neighborhood children in such a positive, nurturing way.  (3) Thanks to the congregation for their prayers and candy-donations for the effort.
