Prayers

JOYS

Prayers of thanksgiving for …

No report of war-related military-service deaths last week.
The 174h Security Squadron’s safe return to the USA from an overseas deployment to the Middle East.

No fatalities associated with the recent avalanche in Missoula.  (Reportedly, the avalanche came down the mountain at a speed of 120-miles per hour.)  Thankfulness for the emergency responders, medical staff, neighbors – All who responded to the resulting needs.
Our church family’s coast-to-coast prayers.

Our church family’s prayers for nurse Linda’s daughter Colleen K.-M.’s healing.
Successful surgery for Randy and Janice B.’s daughter Kerry and her premature daughter, whose surgery went well.

Visitors:  (1) Cheryl Z.’s friend Lauren, (2) Cy’s friend Hunter and (3) Callie’s friends that she brings each week.
Our young people studying God’s Word on Sunday mornings.

Our growing discipleship.
The great stewardship article that Dr. Linda K. wrote in the March church newsletter.

This coming Tuesday morning’s United Methodist Women’s brunch:  9:30-11:00 a.m.
The blessing of snow/moisture in the valley.

Betty L.’s great-grandson Joe is home from the hospital.
For church’s menfolk who have been helping folks safely into the church during these days of inclement weather.

The beauty of the season and the lengthening of the sunlight hours in our days.
Answered prayers.

Caring neighbors who shovel snow at the church and their neighbor’s walkways.
The loving way the congregation pulls together to help others in need.

Loving church family members who turn out in the cold to clear the parking lot and sidewalks to help folks getting to church safely:  Ben L., Bob Edgar, Mitch Edgar, Dean Diers, Pastor Charles and others.
Opportunities for service.

Folks of all ages and circumstances who model the Christian focus on servant-hood for us.
Pastor Charles’ excitement about Belinda buying him a new snow blower with a headlight.  Now he feels equipped to deal with their first Montana winter.

CONCERNS
Prayers for our military Veterans and their families, especially those who are dealing with “the loss of body, mind and/or spirit.”

Prayers for the family and friends who are mourning the death of Dolores Craft.
Prayers for healing mercies for (1) Bev L. (2) Julie L.’s uncle, (3) Ms. Hattie, (4) Sharon W., (5) Friend Steve N. and (6) Robin W.
Prayers for emergency first-responders.

Prayers for our neighbors in the Florence/Carlton school district who are mourning the deaths and injuries suffered in a recent motor vehicle accident.  There is a prayer vigil tonight, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Florence Community Church.  There will be a benefit dinner tomorrow night at the Fire Station in Stevensville, starting at 5:00 p.m.  Donations will go towards expenses of the Okon Family.
Prayers for mom’s friend Carol who is homebound by the weather conditions.

Prayers for travelling mercies and for those not with us today.
