Palm Sunday @ SUMC

Gretchen and Sara get their hands dirty!
It was energetic, loud, chaotic.  In short, it was SUMC at its best this morning as we began Holy Week as a faith community.

There were faith formation gatherings for all ages, both the Hebrews class (led by Clay F.) and the children (led by Debbie G.) were lively!!! Pastor Charles led the second of two sessions for new members, showing dvds of our Wesleyan heritage including one of a tour of Wesley Chapel in London.  We anticipate adding eight to our number on Easter Sunday!!!!

Worship began with some energetic praise music (led by Dave & Jenna) and we processed during the service with the children and waved our palm branches in the air!

During the fellowship time, Gretchen was hard at work preparing the wheat baskets for next week. Several volunteers stepped in to make this joyful task go much quicker.

It is going to be an AWESOME week at Stevi UMC!!!
