The UMW today

Wonderful fellowship
Pastor Charles shares his about his time in Spain
The fellowship hall was abuzz this afternoon as 28 members of the United Methodist Women and guests took part in the monthly meeting and program.

Today's hostesses, Carole Koval and Sonia Henry, reminded everyone of the significance of the date through their decorations in red, white, and blue.

Following devotions offered by Gail Moshier, the gathering moved to the sanctuary where Pastor Charles presented the account of his June pilgrimage to Spain though an extensive power point show.

Among the business items, Bonita Ziegler reported that the profit from the Apple Dumpling sales at the Creamery Picnic totaled $3,037.  This is a significant increase from the previous year.  All the proceeds from the sale will be used for mission efforts in the coming year.

Carol Gragg reported that three dozen bags were handmade for the UMCOR school kits effort.

Carole Koval reported that the prayer shawls were needing to be restocked.  Four shawls were presented last month, 188 since this ministry was begun.
