Pastor Charles is forming a study group that will use the Revised Common Lectionary as the study source.
The Lectionary is a three-year cycle of scripture lessons which covers the broad themes of the Bible. Each week there are four readings: An Old Testament reading, a Psalm, an epistle reading, and a reading from the one of the gospel accounts. Most of Pastor Charles' sermons are taken from one of the four lectionary readings.
The lectionary designates each year as Year A, Year B, or Year C. The gospel readings for Year A come primarily from Matthew, Year B from Mark, and Year C from Luke. John's account of the gospel is woven throughout the three-year cycle of readings. We are currently in the Season after the Epiphany in Year C.
Please let Pastor Charles know if you are interested in participating in this study (as well as times and days of the week that you're available).
