The United Methodist Women (UMW) of Stevi UMC met today on a snowy Friday to begin a new year in ministry together. Thirty ladies and guests were on hand as the New Year began in earnest.

Today's hostesses served a tasty treat and helped to make everyone, members and guests alike, feel special. Thanks to Mary Costello, Phyllis Daniels, & Sue Pearson for the service.

Pastor Charles conducted the installation of the Unit officers for 2016: Trudy Freeman, president - Carole Koval, VP - Linda K. Kauffman, secretary - Bonita Ziegler, treasurer.

A special memorial was offered for Mary Lyon who had such a lasting and profound impact on the the church and the UMW membership. Mary Costello, Carole Koval, and Hazel Smith led this moving tribute to a truly wonderful lady. The memorial  may be found on our YouTube channel at this link.

+Last year we welcomed seven new members and got 2016 off to a good start with Lois Hansen as our newest member!  
+Carole K. reported that twenty-eight prayer shawls were given out in 2015 and that the total given to date is 195.
+Bonita Z. reported that $305 was presented from last year's Thank Offering.
