In the business portion of the gathering, the Unit voted to accept the 2016 budget of $12,000. The mission work that will result will be amazing!! It was announced that the UMW distributed thirty-seven cookie plates. What a wonderful expression of what a community of faith does to help folk to stay connected to the community.
The ladies were pleased today to present Carol Goffe with a UMW special recognition pin for all of the support work Carol does for the UMW in the church office.
The program was presented by Pastor Charles and Belinda Alkula who shared with us the English tradition of "Christingle." Liz Goddard shared two Christmas carols, "What Child is This" and "One Little Light." Bonita Ziegler completed the program with a reading, "The First Christmas Tree."
Today's hostesses were Phyllis Daniels, Mary Lyon, and Bonita Ziegler.
