Scripture lesson for December 13th

Anna & Simeon -St. Nicholas' Church - Itchingfield, Sussex
The scripture lesson for next Sunday, the Third Sunday of Advent, is the Canticle (or Song) of Simeon which is found in Luke 2:29-32. The canticle is known in Christian tradition as the Nunc Dimittis.

This comes from the Latin translation of Luke 2:29-32 which begins, Nunc dimittis servum tuum, Domine, secundum verbum tuum, in pace, “Now, Master, you can let your servant go in peace, just as you promised.”
