Church Prayers

JOYS

Prayers of thanksgiving for …

Birthday blessings to our Mr. Earl Harper whose 103rd birthday is tomorrow.  His birthday Open House is this afternoon from 1:00-4:00 p.m. 

Nathan’s minimal injuries resulting from accident a couple of weeks ago.

Girl Scouts’ and communities’ observances of breast cancer awareness month.

Gail and Lynn M.’s new grandbaby who is about to be born.

Lynn M.’s left hand has full range of motion.  His shoulder surgery was a success.

Nephew Grant who safely returned home after his recent tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Les S.’s recent fishing trip was great.

Someone cleaned the light fixtures in the balcony.  They are bug-less.

Colleen M.’s amazing health recovery and positive response to medical treatments.

This Thursday, our neighborhood “Genesis House” program will be receiving an honorary award.  This is a program that the women of this church started.

Those folks who have already volunteered to write an Advent devotional.  All interested are encouraged to talk with Pastor Charles about it.

Belinda A. thanked Arlene H. for loaning her the lovely hat she is wearing today.  Some of the choir members are wearing hats today.  (The reason will become apparent later.)

Habitat for Humanity’s building project in Stevensville is coming right along.

Some of the folks in our church are providing lunch for the folks who are volunteering to help with the Habitat for Humanity’s house in Stevensville this coming Saturday.

Those who joyfully anticipate the offering of their stewardship commitment cards today.

Thanks to those who complete the attendance record sheets in the bulletins, so that the Stewardship Team will be aware of today’s attendance.
 

CONCERNS
Prayers for peace in the Middle East – and in all the “four corners” of the world. 

Prayers for our military Veterans.

Prayers for the family and friends of the military service members who were killed or injured in the line of duty this last week.

Prayers for the family and friends who are mourning the death of (1) Eda Kline and (2) Edna Hanks.

Prayers for travelling mercies for those not with us today – and for those who will be travelling soon.

Prayers for volunteers who are needed to help with the Stevensville’s Habitat for Humanity building project this Friday and Saturday.

Prayers for healing mercies for (1) Mary L., (2) Mollie who is dealing with leukemia, (3) Sonia’s sister Lynn who is dealing with two broken legs, (4) Colleen M., (5) Scott whose faced was seriously burned from an explosion, (6) Mary who is dealing with cancer, (7)

Jenny with health issues, (8) Carlos’ surgery in El Paso on October 30th, (9) Niece Rose Marie who is dealing with stage 5 breast cancer, (10) Dr. Ellen J.’s friend on east coast, Faith, and friend on west coast, Pat, who are both dealing with cancer, Cammie E.’s mother who is dealing with cancer treatments, (11) Les S.’s upcoming surgical procedures, (12) Cheryl Z. is not feeling well, (13) Patrick, age 22, who is having trouble breathing, (14) Ed S.’s friend Don P. who had a heart attack recently, (15) Ed S.’s friend Gene W. who is dealing with cancer.

Prayers for a bunk bed for Hannah, Bridget’s little sister who is moved in with her.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Everyone is invited to the church banquet today after church!  There will be special music, wonderful fellowship and delicious food.  It will be a time of celebration of all that God gives us and how we respond by our prayers, presents, gifts, service and witness.  You are welcome!
