Birthday blessings to Dave Rakiecki whose birthday is today.

Wedding anniversary blessings to Connie and Dave Rakiecki who are celebrating their 38^th wedding anniversary today.

More "birth-day "blessings:  Ginny M. is joy-filled about the birth of her great granddaughter Finley.

Today’s first annual “Apple Fest:” Bill and Carol G. extended a warm welcome to the church family to participate in today’s event at their family ranch.  This afternoon, folks will be making apple cider and apple butter.  At 5:00 p.m., there will be an apple dessert contest.  At 6:00 p.m., there will be a potluck, featuring Carol’s famous corn chowder.  Anyone requiring transportation is encouraged to contact Carol.

Prayers of thanksgiving for …

     -       The wonderful church and community support for our local Pantry Partners food bank.

-       The wonderful heritage of our country.  (Last week’s focus on Lewis and Clark netted this realization.)

-       Phyllis’ joy of watching her great grandson play in the Florence high school football game, and they won.  Good sportsmanship displayed by both teams.

-       All the saints who have gone before us.

-       Colleen M.’s positive response to medical treatments.

CONCERNS

Prayers for our country’s leadership as they prepare a reaction to the events in Syria.

Prayers for peace in the Middle East – and in all the “four corners” of the world. 

Prayers for our military Veterans.

Prayers for the family and friends of the military service members who were killed or injured in the line of duty this last week.

Prayers for those impacted by flooding in Colorado, Nebraska and Texas.

Prayers for the family and friends who are mourning the death of (1) Ron H. who died yesterday, (2) Jesslyn B.’s mother and grandpa, (3)

Prayers for the Habitat for Humanity’s need for volunteers to help with the home being built in Stevensville – and for the family who will be moving into it.

Prayers for Nathan C. who is in jail.

Prayers for the homeless.

Prayers for the homeless shelter in Missoula which has a desperate need for blankets and towels.

Prayers for travelling mercies for those not with us today – and for those who will be travelling soon.

Prayers for our neighbors who are suffering and in pain.

Prayers for healing mercies for (1) Mary L., (2) Mollie who is dealing with leukemia (a lovely yellow prayer shawl was passed around and prayed over during the service), (3) Nathan who fractured his foot in yesterday’s parade in Florence, (4) Sonia’s sister Lynn who is dealing with two broken legs and (5) Colleen M.
