[John] Wesley on Lent: “At Present Answering No Valuable End”

Today (Ash Wednesday), is the beginning of the season of Lent. This is a time when Christians often enter a period of abstinence and preparation as they remember the final weeks of Jesus before his crucifixion on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter Sunday. However, it seems that John Wesley had an interesting view of Lent!
