A December celebration

Lila & Terry joined the church today
Hooray for December birthdays!

It's a party
The book group was in session tonight!
Today was the Third Sunday of Advent and it was a delightful celebration of all that the season means.

During worship the choir reprised "Fum, Fum, Fum" which had been sung last Sunday during the Hanging of the Greens concert. Today's sermon was based on a reading from Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11.

Blessings were in abundance today with Amber & Dave M.-S. lighting the Advent candles and with Bob E. sharing the children's message.  A special blessing today was the reception of Terry & Lila Y. into the membership of the congregation.

During the fellowship time following worship we celebrated everyone who has had or will have a birthday in December.  Thanks to Mary C., Trudy F., Janet & Bryan L, and Marcia P. for arranging for the beautiful birthday celebration.

We rounded out the day with the monthly gathering of the book group at Kootenai Village club house.  This month we discussed, "Radical in the Rectory: Susanna Wesley."
