Devotional for Dec. 21 - Fourth Sunday of Advent
December 21st - The Fourth Sunday of Advent
“You are the light of the world.” - Matthew 5:14
When I think of Christmas and the birth of our Savior, that is a verse that always comes to mind.
But this time of year with its long nights and darkness is an issue for me. I am a child of the sunshine and daytime. So how appropriate that on this, the shortest day of the year, we can look at the longest night and think of the light of the world soon to be born to lead us from the darkness. For He has conquered the darkness and brought us into the light.
So let's be a city on a hill and show our light to the world and celebrate the birth of the Light of the world.
