Jewels among us
There are jewels in our yards and gardens, and rarities amid the woods and weeds. Those who adore birds know that. Others may ask, "What’s so special about that bird?"
Plenty. That birds cracks the cold of winter with its song in spring. That bird whispers through branches in a way that defies my understanding. That bird is adored in beauty we cannot fathom. That bird will dance on the air and perform aerobatic across branches. That bird is a gem among the commonplace.
For me, though, the true treasure is the evidence of the one who crafted this spectacular beauty. I am only a blessed observer capturing that wonder through photography so I can share with others what can do: create precious jewels from the ordinary.
