The Longest Night

We are nearing the end of Advent as we approach Christmas. It’s a time of longing, of anticipation, and celebration...but also a season that reminds those who have suffered loss, that they are without.

You may know what this feels like......carols that remind you of family gatherings while your aunt was still alive, hosting Christmas dinner with your parents, visits with relatives on Christmas day, happier times before the divorce. And sometimes, though it is the merriest of times, it can stir in us emotions that we would rather not deal with; that some don't understand.
