Advent Devotional - December 6

"God will help you with whatever hard thins come up when the time comes."
- Micah 6:34 (The Message)

In my job I do a lot of waiting, a lot of waiting. Waiting for someone to return from a road trip of one type or another. This verse has helped me to put this waiting into a bit more persepective.

As we wait and anticipate the birth of Jesus, we must remember that we must look today and be ready for today; and not look to tomorrow or yesterday. But to trust the waiting to Jesus, for He will help us "...when the time comes." Or do not worry in your waiting, for God has prepared us through Jesus to help us through those things that are yet to come.

For me, it may not make the waiting easier, but it does give my confidence that whatever happens, happens in God's time.
