First Sunday of Advent @ SUMC

With the streets of Stevensville looking fresh in the coat of overnight snow, the faithful gathered in the beautiful sanctuary to observe the First Sunday of Advent.

Our worship of God this morning featured the 60th annual Hanging of the Greens service. The service will be available on our YouTube channel.

During the fellowship time following worship, the congregation enjoyed the bounty of holiday treats provided by the music ministry. Everyone also enjoyed viewing the fifty-four Nativity sets still on display from Friday's Church Nativity Tour.

Thanks this morning to: Paul Ludington (sidewalk clearing), Julie Ludington (piano), Hazel Smith (Organ), Tom Bishop (video), Pastor Charles, Belinda Alkula, and Sheila Hammitt (Advent wreath), Ava & Katie Rose (acolytes), Cammie Edgar & Sharon Wheeler (power point), Brenda Bolton (choir), Marcia Prather & Mary Costello (greeter/usher), Ed Sperry (Advent Devotional), Music Ministry (fellowship).
