Update On Mission Shaped Future Efforts

As we continue to move forward in efforts to join the Rocky Mountain Conference and the Yellowstone Conference into the Mountain Sky Area, we wanted to offer a few updates into our progress and forthcoming milestones. 

We are happy to report that the guiding team continues to make progress. In the coming weeks invitations will be sent out to participate in six new working teams that will be convened to develop plan for our new Mountain Sky Conference. We are anticipating our annual conferences and plan to have a robust report ready to present on our efforts. We are also planning to roll out a communications plan where interested parties will be able to freely provide feedback. The following is a list of upcoming milestones in our Mission Shaped Future Efforts:

• Spring 2017: Our working teams will be organized and commence their work.
• Annual Conference 2017:

• Present a report on the progress of the development of our Mission Shaped Future.
• Provide an outline of the process for distributing plans as they emerge.
• Invite people to identify areas of interest they would like to get updates and provide feedback about.

• Winter 2018: Publish a strategic plan for organizing The Mountain Sky Conference.
• Annual Conference 2018: Present and approve plan for Mountain Sky Conference.
• Annual Conference 2019: Inaugural meeting as The Mountain Sky Conference.
• 2019-20, Apply for legal incorporation and other technical details of formation.
