Blue Christmas Service is Tonight

The Stevensville UMC is holding a very special worship service tonight at 6:00 p.m.

The unrelenting Christmas songs in every store, “Happy Holidays” from all you meet, and the social expectation that everyone must be filled with joy as Christmas approaches, does not make everyone feel happy. Many feel sad, depressed, left out and miserable, especially if they have suffered a loss in life, either recently or long ago.

Blue Christmas is a quiet, meditative worship service designed, not only for those who have suffered loss, but also for anyone who struggles with sadness, depression or anxiety during the holidays. It can be a reflective respite from the ‘busy-ness’ of the season.
