The weekend to come

We are in for an exciting weekend at Stevensville UMC and you're invited to be a part of it all!

Friday - Get the weekend started with the "Drop-in Bible Study" at 10:00 a.m. at Doris T.'s home.  Call the church office for more information.

Saturday - We are holding a very special worship service at 6:00 p.m.  The unrelenting Christmas songs in every store, “Happy Holidays” from all you meet, and the social expectation that everyone must be filled with joy as Christmas approaches, does not make everyone feel happy.  Many feel sad, depressed, left out and miserable, especially if they have suffered a loss in life, either recently or long ago.

The Blue Christmas service is a quiet, meditative worship service designed, not only for those who have suffered loss, but also for anyone who struggles with sadness, depression or anxiety during the holidays. It can be a reflective respite from the ‘busy-ness’ of the season.

Sunday - Sunday school @ 9 am; Praise singing at 10:15; and at 10:30, worship on the Fourth Sunday of Advent our first-ever "Christmas pageant in-a-bag!!!"  If you've never been part of a pageant like this, you won't want to miss this unique telling of the Christmas story.
