Prayers of thanksgiving for …

The Department of Defense’s announcement that there were no combat-related casualties in the last week.

Being together today to observe and celebrate the first Sunday in the church calendar:  The First Sunday of Advent.

Tonight’s 56^th “Hanging of the Greens” Concert at the church, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Wonderful family reunions.

Rollie F.’s uncle and his wife just had a baby.

Visitors to church:  David and Janice.

Generous folks who give desperately needed items to local charities.

Birthday blessings to Jim Z., Dean D. and Sharon W.’s son.

Wedding anniversary blessings to (a) Paul and Julie L.

Nilda B.’s brother is doing very well after his recent surgery.

Great to see recent successful healing for those in our church family:  (a) Gini M., (b) Sharon W. and Judy F.

New church camera which will record services, which will then be posted to youtube.

Favorite sports teams who win.

Gratitude to live in area communities who actively care for one another’s needs.

CONCERNS

Prayers for recovery and healing for the thousands of casualties and millions of people affected by the recent typhoon in the Philippines.  (Thanks be to God that the United Methodist Committee on Relief, UMCOR, is in position and involved in disaster relief.)

Prayers for peace in the Middle East – and in all the “four corners” of the world. 

Prayers for our military Veterans.

(whose memorial service will be at the church this Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.), and (5) Elva W.  (Pastor Charles will be officiating at her service this Tuesday afternoon.)

All those who are struggling to deal with the recent deaths of family members and close friends.

All those involved and affected by recent train accident in New York and helicopter crash in Scotland.
